Title: Advocate Trinity Hospital - Radiology

Location: 36303

Status: Full time

Benefits Eligible: Yes

Hours Per Week: 40

Schedule Details/Additional Information: 3:00PM-11:00PM, rotating weekends and holidays

Pay Range: $28.55 - $42.85

Major Responsibilities
Quality
  • Demonstrates the appropriate operation of all radiographic equipment including fluoroscopy units, portable units, surgical units as well as general radiography units.
  • Accountable for the production of quality radiographs.
  • Demonstrates safety in all areas: electrical, environmental, radiation, etc.
  • Ensures all appropriate information is present before radiographs are performed.
  • Completes all data entries in the radiology and hospital information system.
  • Participates in efforts to monitor and improve departmental CQI indicators.
  • Submits ideas for improving quality in your department.
Customer Satisfaction
  • Serves as a patient advocate to ensure that patients and customers needs are met in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Provides education to all patients before, during and after exams.
  • Maintains a positive relationship with all customers i.e. patients, other departments, physicians and fellow associates.
  • Reviews patient satisfaction data and participates in improving areas of concern.
  • Utilizes appropriate resources to resolve patient issues.
  • Addresses and resolves customer complaints.
  • Ensures on-time completion of your performance pathway.
  • Sends out co-worker feedback forms 6 months before review to associates you and your leader have identified as able to provide valuable feedback.
  • Submits self-evaluation to leader two weeks before review.
  • Participates quarterly in the TNT associate satisfaction survey.
  • Submits ideas each year for improving customer satisfaction.
People Growth
  • Assess own learning needs, seeks appropriate training and development.
  • Sets own learning goals.
  • Develops a learning plan and documents progress on a learning log.
  • Maintains a program to complete required training hours per quarter.
Innovation
  • Submits Dynamite ideas to your leader.
  • Participates in hospitalwide or departmental DIG each year.
  • Implements Just-Do-It initiatives in your department during the year.

  • Participates in hospitalwide TNT-related activities.
  • Participates in departmental recognition and socialization activities.

Education / Experience Required
  • ARRT Registry eligible I.D.N.S. License (current)
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required
  • Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technology School.
  • ARRT Registry eligible I.D.N.S. License (current)
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
  • May be exposed to radiation; hazardous materials & life-threatening diseases. Ability to lift and/or move patients. Ability to work under stressful conditions & in difficult situations. Ability to work rotating shifts any day of the week. Ability to stand, bend and/or stoop for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds without assistance. For patient lifts of over 35 pounds, or when patient is unable to assist with the lift, patient handling equipment is expected to be used, with at least one other associate, when available. Unique patient lifting/movement situations will be assessed on a case‑by‑case basis.
