Job summary

A healthcare organization in Calhoun, Georgia is looking for a part-time Radiologic Technologist. In this role, you will perform direct patient care activities, maintain a clean and organized work environment, and coordinate imaging procedures while ensuring patient comfort and safety. The ideal candidate should have at least 2 years of experience, possess Radiography certification, and demonstrate strong communication skills. A competitive pay range of $20.60 - $38.31 is offered based on experience and certification.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience required.
• Basic Life Support - CPR Certification required.
• Registered Technologist – Radiography (RT(R) (ARRT)) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform direct patient care duties within technologist's scope.
• Complete required documentation for Radiologist support.
• Maintain a stocked and organized room.
• Demonstrate knowledge of patient positioning and equipment operation.

Job Description

• Practices infection control standards and utilizes approved personal protective equipment (PPE) and disinfectant agents.

• Maintains a properly stocked, organized, and clean room.

• Completes required documentation for Radiologist support and performs clerical duties, including answering telephones, completing patient records, filing, and scheduling.

• Performs direct patient care duties within the technologist’s scope of practice, including monitoring patient condition and ensuring patient comfort, safety, and privacy.

• Obtains and documents patient history and explain procedures. Performs radiology duties in all departments and environments, including OR and Fluoroscopy.

• Performs all imaging exams using established protocols and operates all equipment safely and properly, including scanners, injectors, monitors, and medical equipment.

• Uses facility policy for proper identification of patients prior to performing exams and educates patients concerning the exam.

• Screens patients properly for any contrast allergies and for childbearing age, minimizing radiation exposure to patients, families, and co-workers.

• Other duties as assigned.

• Positions patients and equipment and selects technical factors to produce radiographic images meeting Radiologist’s standards in a safe, timely manner.

• Demonstrates the knowledge and skills to perform scans on patients of all ages, adapting protocols as necessary.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Ability to analyze and assess data, techniques, methodology, equipment operation, and quality control to ensure that information is obtained and presented accurately Required

• Up-to-date knowledge of patient positioning and equipment operations, including x-ray producing equipment, if applicable per facility Required

• Ability to communicate appropriately and effectively with patients and their family, hospital staff, nurses, physicians, and other health care professionals Required

• Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in the health care industry Required

• Able to fully use all Radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment Required

• Must be able to read, write and speak conversational English Required

• Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office Required

• Associate Preferred

Work Experience
