Job description

We are seeking a Radiology Technologist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing examination rooms, administering radiopharmaceuticals, positioning patients and equipment, ensuring patient safety, and producing high-quality diagnostic images for physicians. The technician will also be involved in documenting procedures, assisting in emergencies, and ensuring the proper handling of radiographic supplies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare Examination Rooms: Ensure that the examination rooms are set up and equipped for patient examinations, following safety protocols.
  • Administer Radiopharmaceuticals: Administer radiopharmaceuticals to ensure clear and usable images are obtained for diagnostic purposes.
  • Patient Positioning & Comfort: Position patients and equipment appropriately, explaining the procedure to the patient and ensuring their comfort and safety during the examination.
  • Monitor and Adjust Imaging: Input commands and data into the computer to document scan sequences and adjust density or contrast while monitoring the video display.
  • Patient Monitoring: Observe patients during examinations, ensuring their safety and following protocols to minimize exposure to radiation.
  • Produce Diagnostic Images: Produce high-quality diagnostic images, report important information to the physician, and update patient records as necessary.
  • Manage Daily Schedules: Organize and prioritize daily procedure schedules, managing emergencies as they arise.
  • Radiographic Supplies: Monitor and maintain the inventory of radiographic supplies to ensure availability for daily procedures.
Job Requirements:
  • Education: Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or equivalent relevant education.
  • Experience: At least 2 years of experience as an Interventional Radiology Technician.
Licenses/Certifications:
  • ARRT License (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification
Additional Requirements:
  • Experience with EPIC EMR (Electronic Medical Records).
  • Specialized training or certification in Interventional Radiology (IR Tech) procedures.
