Job summary

McLaren Health Care is seeking a Radiology Technologist for full-time, with 1st/3rd shift variability, at our Michigan facilities. You will perform imaging procedures, position patients, and operate radiology equipment under physician direction.

Applicants must graduate from an AMA-approved radiology program, hold ARRT certification, maintain current BLS, and possess a HS diploma or GED. Emphasis on radiation safety and quality assurance throughout daily duties.

Qualifications

• Certification in general radiologic technology by ARRT.

• High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Operates imaging department equipment including x-ray.
• Positions patients and captures images as ordered.
• Notifies physician on duty of results and ensures accuracy.
• Performs quality assurance and practices radiation safety to minimize exposure.

Job description

RADIOLOGY TECHNOLOGIST - FULL TIME - 1ST/3RD SHIFT VARIABLE

Position Summary: Performs a variety of imaging procedures consistent with established policies and procedures at a technical level typically requiring general supervision.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Gives straightforward explanations and instructions to foster a sense of comfort and confidence to patients and ensure the needs of individual patients are met.
• Operates and maintains all assigned imaging department equipment including but not limited to x-ray.
• Positions patients and uses radiologic equipment to correctly capture the images requested by a physician.
• Accurately performs all imaging exams as ordered in accordance with established policies, procedures, regulations, and laws; ensures the physician on duty is notified of the results.
• Completes quality assurance processes and practices radiation safety in order to reduce exposure to patients, staff and self.

Required:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Graduation from an AMA-approved school of radiology technology.
• Certified in general radiologic technology by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT).
• Current BLS certification.
