Baptist Health Urgent Care in Conway, AR is seeking experienced radiology professionals (ARRT X‑ray techs) to perform x‑ray testing and related medical assistant duties in a fast-paced urgent care setting.

The role requires AR state X‑Ray license, BLS, and preferably ARRT certification; duties include patient positioning, safety, and equipment checks with a rotating 36–40 hour schedule.

Responsibilities

Job Summary

Baptist Health Urgent Care is looking for experienced ARRT Radiology or Limited License X‑Ray Techs to join our team in Conway, AR. This position will perform x‑ray testing, including body mechanics and patient movement, using knowledge of anatomy and physiology. Operates diagnostic equipment, develops film and prepares the room with the necessary equipment and supplies for the procedure, as well as perform Medical Assistant duties.

Key Responsibilities

• Promptly greets patients when entering waiting area, exam room, and laboratory or x‑ray room.
• Consistently communicates with patients on wait times; provides direction to the next step in the treatment process.
• Provides solutions to patient problems and seeks help in emergent/hazardous situations.
• Executes follow‑up calls with a sense of urgency.
• Assists front desk personnel with patient check‑in/out procedures when necessary.
• Obtains and accurately documents patient vital signs and weight, takes brief history, past medical, family and social history, current medications, allergies and other pertinent historical information as appropriate.
• Assists with patient transfers.
• Assists with procedures directly supervised by the provider.
• Follows documentation procedures and completes required documentation related to patient visit.
• Performs timely radiology procedures for subsequent evaluation and treatment by attending physician.
• Performs necessary quality control procedures to ensure quality exams are performed.
• Prepares patients for radiologic procedures and follows established clinical and regulatory procedures in regards to patient safety and care, including proper radiation protection and shielding techniques.
• Ensures equipment is in proper working order and reports any malfunctions to the manager or provider on duty.
• Assumes responsibility for maintaining and improving diagnostic imaging knowledge and skills with support from outside educational resources.
• Maintains current licensure and certification for facility radiology equipment and licensure.

Schedule

Full‑time team members work a rotating 36‑40 hour/week schedule, consisting of 12‑hour weekday shifts and every other weekend. PRN (per diem) team members are scheduled on an as‑needed basis.
