Job summary

St. Joseph Medical Center in Houston, TX seeks a Radiology Technologist to perform routine and invasive diagnostic radiography following established protocols and physician direction.

The role requires knowledge of PACS, equipment operation, radiation safety, and quality assurance to provide careful, high-quality imaging. The successful candidate will participate in safety initiatives, maintain accurate documentation, and support Radiologists during procedures while ensuring timely patient care

Qualifications

• Graduate from an approved/accredited School of Radiologic Technology.
• Current Texas Department of State Health Services License is required (or in active status).
• Current ARRT license and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Consistently supports and communicates the Mission, Vision and Values of St. Joseph Medical Center.
• Promotes safety culture and adheres to HIPAA and PHI guidelines.
• Prepares patients for procedures and ensures correct orders and safety standards.
• Operates radiographic equipment, performs daily calibrations, and maintains equipment in safe working order.
• Provides assistance to Radiologists during complex or invasive procedures and manages room setup and supplies.
• Completes data entry in radiology information systems and accesses PACS for image retrieval.
