Job summary

Responsibilities
  • Properly utilizes C‑arm and other x‑ray equipment, ensuring patient safety, comfort and image accuracy while assisting physicians with imaging procedures.
  • Observes required safety precautions by using filtering devices and providing shielding for patients and other individuals in the room.
  • Assures accurate information is available for patients by maintaining records and files.
  • Maintains digital imaging equipment and image storage.
  • Maintains accurate documentation as required by state, federal and accrediting regulations.
  • Tests x‑ray equipment and protective apparel as required by state and federal regulations.
  • Knows and practices the principles and procedures of sterile technique.
  • Sets up and operates radiation equipment in operating rooms.
  • Assists patients with pre‑ and post‑operative x‑ray examinations.
  • Assists in other duties as needed, including room turnover, housekeeping, restocking, etc.
  • Maintains dress and appearance according to policy standards.
  • Participates in performance appraisal process.
  • Maintains privacy and confidentiality of individuals and health information.
  • Considers age‑specific needs in communication.
  • Identifies potentially unsafe situations and notifies supervisor.
  • Demonstrates fiscal responsibility.
  • Actively participates in staff meetings (review minutes), team meetings, training and daily safety huddle communication.
  • Maintains compliance with fire, emergency, blood‑borne pathogens, exposure to chemicals, SDS sheets, MERTKA, spill kits, AWAIR program and other emergency and safety precautions as required by the center.
  • Complies with all SCA and facility policies and procedures.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Completion of an accredited radiology program.
  • ARRT (The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification as required by state.
  • Successful completion of BLS‑CPR course within 90 days of employment, or documentation of current certification.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certification in radiation technology.
Compensation

USD $32.00/h – $45.00/h.
