Job summary

Virtua Health is seeking a Radiologic Technologist for on-site duties in a per diem, part-time role. You will perform radiologic procedures and ensure diagnostic image quality while maintaining strict radiation safety and documentation standards.

Responsibilities include operating RIS/PACS systems, verifying orders, and assisting in training new staff. Eligible applicants should have ARRT certification/eligibility and NJDEP licensure, with CPR preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology Technology.
• Registered or registry eligible by ARRT; NJDEP licensure required. CPR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs radiologic procedures for diverse patient populations per radiologist protocols.
• Evaluates images to ensure highest diagnostic quality.
• Maintains thorough and accurate documentation of procedures.
• Obtains pertinent medical information prior to procedures and verifies orders.
• Demonstrates proper use of radiographic equipment and hospital systems (RIS, PACS, Web viewer, ADW).

Job Information

• New to Virtua hires are eligible for sign on bonus of $500
• One-year commitment
• Summary: A licensed practitioner responsible for the administration of ionizing radiation to patients for diagnostic Purposes.

Position Responsibilities

• Performs radiologic procedures for all patient populations according to protocols established by the radiologist, while applying principals of radiation safety and protection at all times.
• Evaluates images with goal of producing radiographic images of the highest diagnostic quality.
• Consistently provides thorough and accurate documentation.
• Obtains pertinent medical information prior to the procedure, reviews and verifies physicians’ orders. Documents correct side, LMP etc.
• Demonstrates appropriate and effective use of all radiographic equipment and computer systems such as RIS, PACS, Web viewer, ADW workstation and other hospital based computer or PC systems.
• Provides instruction to and assists in training new staff or student radiologic technologists.

Required Education

Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology Technology.

Training/Certifications/Licensure

Registered or registry eligible by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (A.R.R.T.) NJDEP licensure required. CPR certification preferred.

$45.00
