Job summary

SCA Health in Hamden is hiring a Radiology Technologist to support surgical centers with intraoperative imaging and radiographic procedures. This 24-hour position offers shifts from early morning to evening to ensure coverage across pain, orthopedics and spine specialties.

Requirements include high school diploma, completion of an accredited radiology program, ARRT certification as required by state, and BLS/ CPR within 90 days. Certification in radiation technology preferred.

Responsibilities

Surgery Center has specialties such as Pain, Orthopedics and Spine that require a Radiology Tech. This is a 24 hour position 3-8 hour shifts varying from 6:30a-3p or 7a-3:30p or as needed to support the center.

Radiology Technologist Responsibilities:

• Running C-ARM intraoperatively during surgical procedures.
• Performs radiographic procedures.
• May be assigned radiation safety officers and/ or life skills officer duties as well.
• Inventory, receive, and restock materials used forradiologicalservices.

Qualifications

Radiology Technologist Requirements:

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited radiology program.
• ARRT (The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) as required by state.
• Successful completion of BLS – CPR Course within 90 days of employment required or documentation of current certification.

Radiology Technologist/ Radiographer Preferred:

• Certification in radiation technology is preferred.
