Job summary

Banner Nutex Health is seeking a Multimodality Radiology Technologist to operate CT, X-ray, MRI and ultrasound equipment. You will ensure image quality, safety and patient comfort while adhering to protocols.

Ideal candidates bring ARRT or RDMS certification, an associate degree or equivalent, and at least one year in a hospital setting, plus BLS. Strong communication and composure under pressure are essential features of this role.

Qualifications

  • Multimodality technologists must be certified in two+ modalities or cross-trained.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately position patients to enable effective scanning.
  • Warm up radiology equipment to maintain function.
  • Sterilize equipment to ensure safety and hygiene.
  • Follow physicians' imaging instructions precisely.
  • Administer radiocontrast agents when indicated.
  • Review scans for technical quality and accuracy.
  • Explain procedures clearly and reassure patients.
  • Monitor patients for reactions to contrast agents.
  • Maintain radiologic supplies inventory and report shortages.

Job description

Radiology Tech, Multimodality As a Radiology Tech Multi-modality, you will operate our advanced scanning equipment to capture high-quality diagnostic images. Your commitment to patient care, safety, and technical excellence will be essential in delivering optimal imaging services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accurately position patients to ensure effective scanning of specific body areas.
  • Conduct regular warm-up sequences on radiological equipment to maintain functionality.
  • Sterilize radiologic equipment thoroughly to ensure patient safety and adhere to hygiene and infection control protocols.
  • Interpret and follow physicians' written scanning instructions accurately.
  • Administer radiocontrast agents to enhance the visibility of internal structures during imaging.
  • Review and evaluate scans to confirm they meet technical quality standards.
  • Clearly explain scanning procedures to patients, offering reassurance and support as needed.
  • Monitor patients during scanning procedures, identifying and responding to any allergic reactions to contrast agents.
  • Maintain inventory of radiologic supplies and report any deficiencies.
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum one year of experience in the following modalities: CT, X-ray, MRI, or Ultrasound (US) as verified by ARRT or RDMS certification.
  • At least one year of experience working in a hospital setting.
  • An associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, combined with one year of relevant experience and training.
  • Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (RDMS).
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association.
  • Multimodality Technologists must possess certification in two (2) or more modalities: Radiology (X-ray), Computed Tomography (CT), Ultrasound (US), or Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), or have completed an accredited cross-training program.
