Job summary

University Hospitals Pain Management is seeking a PRN support role at Geneva Medical Center to assist Radiologic Technologists with patient preparation, documentation, and coordination of care during imaging procedures.

Responsibilities include patient verification, transport, chaperone duties, data entry, supply management, safety compliance, and PHI protection as part of standard hospital procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Radiologic Technologist by completing basic patient assessments including verifying patient orders, completing patient questionnaires, patient preparation and instruction.
• Coordinate patient care with other health care team members to ensure smooth workflow during imaging procedures.
• Assist with patient transport, chaperone and monitoring as needed.
• Assist with Radiology computer information and data entry including PAC system.
• Ensure availability of procedural supplies, including ordering and stocking items.
• Adhere to MRI and radiation safety policies and procedures.
• Register and check-in patients; communicate with care team to coordinate patient care.

A Brief Overview

Provides support and assistance to the Radiologic Technologist in caring for patients and family members during the imaging process, completing clerical/computer duties, lifting/transporting of patients, and following hospital and departmental policies, protocols, and SOPs (including Radiation and MRI safety).

What You Will Do

• Assist the Radiologic Technologist by completing basic patient assessments including verifying patient orders, completing patient questionnaires, patient preparation and instruction. Communication with other members of the health care team to help coordinate patient care.
• Facilitate patient care including, lifting, transport, chaperone and monitoring of patients.
• Assist with Radiology computer information and data entry including PAC system.
• Ensure the adequate availability of procedural supplies to include ordering and stocking patient care supply item.
• Follow hospital initiative in order to meet patient satisfaction goals.
• Follow MRI and radiation safety policies and procedures
• Follow hospital and department Core Values, SOPs, policies, and standards
• Register and check-in patients
• Communicate with other members of the health care team to help coordinate patient care
