Job summary

Sentara Health in Suffolk, VA is seeking a Radiology Technician Limited-Certified Medical Assistant to perform radiographic exams and provide patient care within the limited scope defined by state regulations.

You will safely obtain diagnostic X-ray images, prepare patients for procedures, ensure proper positioning, operate equipment, and adhere to radiation safety protocols under the supervision of a physician, NP/PA, RN, or LPN.

Qualifications

• Medical Assisting certification is required.
• Limited Radiologic Technician licensure may be required by state.
• Related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform radiographic examinations within scope.
• Prepare patients for procedures and ensure proper positioning.
• Operate radiographic equipment with safety measures.
• Provide patient care and assist clinical evaluation as delegated.
• Complete administrative and clinical tasks as needed.
