Job summary

Yale NewHaven Health is seeking a Radiology Support Assistant to join Bridgeport Hospital. The role supports the Radiologic Technologist and contributes to patient-centered care in a busy diagnostic environment.

Responsibilities include room preparation, clerical tasks, patient transport, and maintaining a clean, organized workflow while communicating clearly with staff and families.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Customer service experience necessary. Preferred but not necessary some medical knowledge.
• Excellent telephone communications, organizational skills. Ability to read computer screens, forms, and other documents as well as follow written and oral instructions.
• Ability to lift 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Maintains an orderly and clean work environment.
• Prepares the diagnostic room with necessary supplies and equipment for the diagnostic procedure.
• Performs clerical duties as necessary for all diagnostic procedures.
• Communicates in a clear and concise manner.
• Interacts professionally and effectively with medical staff, patients and families.
• Assists the technologist with patient care responsibilities.
• Transports patients to and from the radiographic procedure room.
• Performs other related duties as required.
