Job summary

Bluegrass Orthopaedics in Lexington, KY is seeking a part-time Radiologic Technologist to operate imaging equipment, perform diagnostic procedures, and support patient safety. A radiology tech assistant will help with daily tasks within the clinic.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Applied Science preferred.
• Current ARRT license required.
• Current Kentucky State Radiation Operator license required.
• Prior experience with Greenway Intergy EMR/PMS preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, OSHA standards, healthcare compliance, ALARA principles, and ARRT Code of Ethics.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Proficiency in performing diagnostic X-rays.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for radiologic procedures, escort to/from exam rooms and provide clear instructions.
• Position patients and equipment properly to ensure accurate imaging.
• Operate radiologic equipment following established requirements and regulations.
• Apply radiation safety measures and protection devices to safeguard patients and staff.
• Maintain and monitor equipment, reporting malfunctions promptly.
• Manage imaging orders and documentation within the EMR system.
• Monitor and communicate supply needs to the Radiology Supervisor.
• Support the clinical team as needed, including obtaining vital signs and assisting with patient flow.
• Maintain required professional licenses and certifications.
