Job summary

Summerville Medical Center in Summerville, SC is seeking a Radiology Technologist to perform radiological procedures within the Medical Imaging department. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to improve patient outcomes and ensure high-quality imaging studies.

Responsibilities include patient positioning, image acquisition, safety practices, and accurate record-keeping. A strong focus on patient care and teamwork is essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology.
• ARRT RT certification is required.
• South Carolina SCRQSA radiology license is required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patient for radiologic procedures by positioning and adjusting equipment.
• Operate diagnostic imaging equipment and process images for interpretation.
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure a safe, clean imaging environment.
• Support a positive patient experience and coordinate with the Medical Imaging team.

Job Summary And Qualifications

We are seeking a Radiology Technologist to perform radiological diagnostic procedures as outlined by the Radiologist. As an integral member of the multidisciplinary team that makes up Medical Imaging, you will have a significant impact on the improvement of human life.

What You Will Do In This Role

• You will prepare patient for radiological procedure by positioning patient, adjusting immobilization devices, moving equipment into a specified position, and adjusting equipment controls to set exposure factors.
• You will minimize radiation to patient and staff by practicing radiation safety
• You will operate diagnostic equipment, process images and prepare room with the necessary equipment and supplies for the procedure.
• You will have responsibilities relating to ensuring a positive patient encounter including maintaining accurate patient records, scheduling patients, overseeing patient transportation, ordering supplies and sustaining a healthy work environment.

What Qualifications You Will Need

• Graduate of an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology is required.
• RT Certification from ARRT is required.
• South Carolina State License: SCRQSA in Radiology is required.
