Job summary

Stone Oak Surgicenter, part of HCA Healthcare, is hiring a Radiology Technologist for our ambulatory surgery center. Under the direction of a Physician, you will perform diagnostic radiographic procedures in accordance with protocols to promote positive patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of radiology.
• 1+ years’ experience as a Radiology Technician.
• ARRT certification required.
• BLS required within 30 days of start.
• State Radiology Technician license required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for exams and procedures; assess their condition during radiologic procedures.
• Assemble necessary supplies and positioning aids per physician’s preference card.
• Test and monitor equipment to ensure proper operation.
• Document records accurately following policies and procedures.
• Ensure shielding for all persons in the room before activating x-ray.
• Communicate patient status to other staff responsible for care.
• Maintain instruments, supplies, and equipment per cleaning, storage and calibration procedures.
