Job summary

Dignity Health - California Hospital Medical Center is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform a range of imaging studies including X-rays, ultrasound, fluoroscopy, CT, and MRI. You will work closely with Radiologists to produce high-quality diagnostic images and ensure a positive patient experience.

The role requires radiology training, state licensure, CPR certification, ARRT registration, and CA fluoroscopy credentials, with attention to safety and efficient workflow in a busy hospital

Qualifications

• Graduate from AMA approved school of radiology technology
• CA radiography license required
• AHA Basic Life Support (CPR) certification required
• Registered Technologist Radiography (ARRT) certification required
• Fluoroscopy Radiology Tech credential for CA
• Fire Safety within 90 days

Responsibilities

• Produce diagnostic images to support Radiologists' diagnoses
• Perform X-ray, ultrasound, fluoroscopy, CT, and MRI exams
• Understand imaging workflow, patient positioning, and accurate results for timely diagnoses
• Convey information professionally to support a positive department image
• Assess patient history and ensure safety, including pregnancy inquiries when applicable

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Radiologic Technologist (Rad Tech), you will be pivotal in producing diagnostic images that enable Radiologists to accurately diagnose and manage patient conditions.

Each day, you will perform a variety of imaging examinations, including X-rays, ultrasound, diagnostic fluoroscopy, CT/CAT scans, and MRIs, while actively contributing to a positive patient experience through direct interaction.

To excel in this role, you must deeply understand diagnostic imaging's critical importance, encompassing expertise in workflow, patient positioning, and capturing precise results essential for timely and accurate diagnoses.

• Contributes to the positive image of the Radiology Department by communicating information in a factual courteous manner.

• Thoroughly understands required preparations in the examinations performed in the radiology department.

• Demonstrates the ability to recognize priorities and deal with them promptly.

• Questions the patient before the exam to obtain a patient history.

• Always questions female patients as to whether they may be pregnant.

$46.66 - $56.89 /hour
