Job summary

Soap Creek Resources in Harper, KS, is seeking a Radiology Technologist to join our hospital team. The role involves performing diagnostic imaging, including X-ray and CT, with a focus on patient safety and comfort.

The candidate will work Monday–Friday, 8-hour days, with after-hours on-call rotation. A $3,000 sign-on bonus is available, and additional pay applies for on-call coverage. Overtime is offered as needed.

Qualifications

• Must hold Licensure as a Radiologic Technologist in Kansas.
• Must have ARRT certification.
• Proven experience operating diagnostic imaging equipment.
• Experience with CT and general X-ray.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic imaging procedures to aid in patient diagnosis and treatment.
• Prepare patients for radiologic procedures, explaining the process and ensuring comfort.
• Operate imaging equipment (X-ray, CT) to produce high-quality images.
• Position patients correctly for optimal diagnostic imaging.
• Maintain and calibrate imaging equipment for safety and accuracy.
• Review images for quality and make necessary adjustments.
• Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation.
• Follow radiation safety guidelines to protect patients and staff.
• Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare team to interpret images.
• Participate in after-hours on-call rotations; on-site efficiency apartment provided.

What they’re looking for:

• Licensure as a Radiologic Technologist in the State of Kansas
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT)
• Proven experience in operating diagnostic imaging equipment.
• Looking for someone that has done CT and interested in doing both general XRay and CT.

Hours and compensation potential:

• Hours are Monday-Friday, 8 hour days. Staff alternate who comes in at 7am and generally it would be 8am to 5pm then after hours call coverage which is rotated.
• Position will offer a range betwen $30/hr-$32/hr plus a $3000 sign on bonus that would be paid out in increments($1000 with first check; $1000 at six months and $1000 after one year).
• There would also be additional pay for on-call coverage. Weeknights the rate is $30/day; weekends are $75/day (Saturday & Sunday).
• When called in, paid overtime at one hour minimum, if it takes longer than one hour paid overtime for their actual time for the call back.

What you’ll be doing:

• Seeking a skilled and dedicated Radiologic Technologist to join our healthcare team. This vital role involves performing diagnostic imaging procedures to assist in patient diagnosis and treatment.
• Prepare patients for radiologic procedures by explaining the process and ensuring their comfort and safety.
• Operate imaging equipment such as X-ray, CT, and other diagnostic tools to produce high-quality images.
• Position patients accurately to capture optimal images for diagnosis.
• Maintain and calibrate imaging equipment to ensure safety and accuracy.
• Review images for quality and clarity, and make adjustments as necessary.
• Maintain detailed and accurate patient records and imaging documentation.
• Follow all safety protocols and radiation safety guidelines to protect patients and staff.
• Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare team members to interpret images and support patient care.
• Serves in the after hours on-call rotation with other technologists. An efficiency apartment is available on-site for use when on-call.

Additional Info:

• The facility is a CAH licensed at 25 beds but currently has 16 beds. On-site they have acute and swing bed skilled care, as well as a 24/7 emergency room with two trauma bays.
• Have applied for Level IV trauma status. They have a rural health clinic at the main campus and two satellite clinics in smaller communities.
