Job summary

HSHS St. John’s Hospital in Springfield, IL is seeking a Radiology Technologist who will serve as the expert resource within the radiology service area.

The role supports planning and implementing work with the director/manager, and may involve multiple modalities as certifications permit. The ideal candidate will have an Associates degree in Radiology Technology (Bachelor's preferred), at least 2 years of radiology experience, and ARRT licensure with BLS/RQI certifications.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Radiology Technology is required or must have completed an accredited radiology technology program.
• Bachelor's degree in Radiology Technology is preferred.
• 2 years of radiology experience is required; leadership experience is preferred.
• Licensed Radiographer in the state of practice; ARRT certification required; BLS/RQI required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as expert resource and lead person within the radiology service area.
• Plan, implement, and facilitate the work activity of the area with the director/manager.
• May work in various modalities as certification allows.
• Assist with policies and procedures for the department.
• Schedule colleagues and provide input into evaluations.
• Perform quality and inventory control duties.
