Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN) is seeking a part-time Radiology Support Technician for weekend shifts (Sat & Sun, 7p-7a) in the radiology department. The role focuses on facilitating radiology services, ensuring accurate orders, and delivering compassionate patient care.

The position requires a High School Diploma or GED, strong customer service, basic computer skills, and knowledge of medical terminology, plus BLS within 30 days.

Responsabilidades

• Verify physician orders are complete with signature, study, diagnosis/CPT and obtain missing info.
• Coordinate daily work duties and communicate needed information.
• Document LMP, fluoro time, radiologist, history and other required data.
• Confirm supply and equipment levels to meet patient care needs.
• Maintain accurate information in the database and perform clerical tasks.
• Ensure patient movement safety and transportation between departments.
• Confirm images have crossed into PACS before study completion.
• Perform registrations as required.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the work area.

Delivers a high level of patient care and customer service to promote patient satisfaction. **Job Duties*** Confirms physician orders are complete and includes signature, ordered study, reason for test (diagnosis/CPT codes) and obtains missing information prior to treatment.* Ensures coordination of daily work duties and communicates any necessary information.* Documents LMP, fluoro time, radiologist, appropriate history and all other required documentation.* Confirms levels of supplies and equipment to meet requirements for patient care and/or specific departments.* Maintains accurate information in the database; performs all clerical/computer functions to support patient care.* Ensures the safety and efficiency of movement and transportation of patients within and to and from departments.* Ensures images have crossed into PACS before study is complete.* Performs registrations, as required.* Assumes responsibility for cleanliness and sanitation of the immediate work area and maintains orderliness. **Minimum Qualifications*** High School Diploma/GED* Less than 1 year experience in a customer service role* Ability to display a compassionate, positive, and upbeat disposition in interactions with patients and colleagues.* Ability to multi-task.* Basic computer and typing skills.* Interpersonal, and communication skills.* Knowledge of medical terminology.* American Heart Association Basic Life Support - State of Pennsylvania within 30 Days **Physical Demands** Lift and carry 40-50 lbs. Examples: Push/pull patients on bed, stretcher (requires 29 lbs. push force), lateral transfers up to 50 lbs. of the patient's weight. Frequent to continuous standing/walking. Patient transporters can walk 8-10 miles per shift. \\*Patient care providers may be required to perform activities specific to their role including kneeling, bending, squatting and performing CPR.
