Job summary

UofL Health is seeking a Radiology Tech Assistant to support technologists and physicians in image acquisition, patient care, and clerical duties at the Ambulatory Care Building - UMC in Louisville, KY. The role emphasizes excellent customer relations and efficient workflow within the radiology department.

The ideal candidate will have a High School diploma, plus preferred hospital clerical experience and knowledge of medical terminology.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent (required).
• One year in a hospital and previous clerical experience (preferred).
• Medical terminology (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Process exposed radiographic cassettes promptly and accurately.
• Utilize HIS/RIS/PACS to support patient care.
• Retrieve images and reports for ULH customers in a timely manner.
• Copy/print radiographs as requested.
• Answer phones with professional customer relations and route calls appropriately.
• Assist technologist and transport patients as needed.
