Job summary

Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital seeks a Radiology Assistant to perform general diagnostic imaging (chest, abdomen, extremities, spine) under physician direction. Responsibilities include operating equipment, developing films, and preparing patient rooms with direct supervision by a Registered Radiologic Technologist.

The role supports clinical documentation and duties including IV lines and lab work.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent.
• IV certification preferred or certified within 90 days.
• No experience required.
• Non-student tech roles must have 2 years patient care management experience.
• Student Tech roles require ARRT enrollment and completion of 2 semesters of ARRT-accredited education.

Responsibilities

• Perform radiological imaging studies of chest, abdomen, extremities and spine.
• Operate imaging equipment, develop films, prep patient room and equipment under supervision.
• Provide clinical support including documentation and lab duties (IV lines).
• Assist under supervision of a registered Radiologic Technologist.
