Job summary

The University of Washington Department of Radiology invites applications for a full-time Research Assistant Professor in Radiology, Research, with an anticipated start date of July 1, 2027. The position supports an independent funded research program in imaging and potential cross-disciplinary collaborations.

The appointee will contribute to teaching, research, and service within Imaging Research Laboratory and UW School of Medicine, engaging with Radiology, Oncology, Neurology, and engineering

Qualifications

• PhD (or foreign equivalent) in basic or clinical science, imaging physics, engineering, computer science, informatics, or related field.
• Demonstrated record of scientific presentations or publications.
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive, respectful academic community.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain an independent funded research program in imaging.
• Collaborate with UW Medicine investigators from Radiology, Oncology, Neurology and other disciplines.
• Support teaching, research and administrative missions in the Imaging Research Laboratory, the Department of Radiology, and the UW School of Medicine.
