Job summary

San Joaquin Valley College Inc. is seeking a Radiologic Technology Program Development Specialist to establish clinical partnerships and drive the launch of radiology technology programs.

You will conduct market analyses, assist with curriculum and accreditation, and lead program development efforts across partnerships. The role requires strong knowledge of radiology education standards, ability to navigate approval guidelines, and collaborative leadership with diverse stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Master's or doctoral degree in Radiologic Sciences or a related field.
  • ARRT certification and registration in radiography.
  • Experience with business and/or program development is preferred.
  • Experience as an instructor in a JRCERT accredited program is required.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and secure new clinical component partnerships with approved training facilities required to develop a radiology technology program.
  • Perform market analyses and feasibility assessments necessary for the application of a new radiology technology program.
  • Function as a lead resource to the college as they navigate and execute an application for a new radiology technology program.
  • Serve as a primary liaison for the College when collaborating with potential clinical site partners.
  • Represent the College before programmatic accreditor and regulatory agencies during the program approval process.
  • Serve as interim Program Director for new programs through provisional approval.

Description

Summary: The Radiology Technology Program Development Specialist is responsible for establishing new clinical site partnerships to support the launch of radiology technology programs. This role involves conducting research and development efforts to expand radiology technology programs into new markets, contributing to curriculum development, and assisting with accreditation processes. Collaborating closely with leadership, the specialist will perform feasibility studies, facilitate JRCERT accreditation, and support the identification of key program leadership roles. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of radiology technology education and the ability to navigate program approval guidelines and regulations for successful programmatic approval.

Compensation: The starting pay range for this position is $40.00-$50.00 per hour.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Identify and secure new clinical component partnerships with approved training facilities required to develop a radiology technology program
  • Perform market analyses and feasibility assessments necessary for the application of a new radiology technology program
  • Function as a lead resource to the college as they navigate and execute an application for a new radiology technology program
  • Serve as a primary liaison for the College when collaborating with potential clinical site partners
  • Represent the College as appropriate before programmatic accreditor and other regulatory agencies throughout the program approval process
  • Serve, if and as needed, as an interim Program Director for new programs through the period of provisional approval
  • Other duties as assigned

Education and/or Experience

  • Master's or doctoral degree in Radiologic Sciences or a related field
  • A minimum of three years’ clinical experience in the professional discipline and two years of experience as an instructor in a JRCERT accredited program
  • Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification and registration, or equivalent, in radiography
  • Experience with business and/or program development
  • Current Driver’s License
  • Other Skill and Abilities:
    • Familiarity with radiology education standards and regulations for new program approval
    • Understanding of business growth and expansion
    • Demonstrated success in initiating, developing, and launching nursing and/or other advanced medical education programs or initiatives
    • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
    • Leadership qualities with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse stakeholders
