Job summary

RadNet is seeking a Radiology Practitioner Assistant to assist radiologists in diagnostic and interventional procedures, ensuring high-quality imaging and patient safety. Responsibilities include verifying physician orders, documenting patient history, and performing radiology procedures under supervision.

Job description

RadNet Radiology Practitioner Assistant

RadNet is a leading radiology practice focused on patient care, innovation, and teamwork. The Radiology Practitioner Assistant (RPA) will assist radiologists in diagnostic and interventional procedures, ensuring high quality imaging and patient safety in a fast‑paced environment.

You Will
  • Verify and review referring physician orders before performing exams.
  • Document patient history, exam consent, and contraindications in the RIS and medical record.
  • Under direct supervision, perform diagnostic and interventional radiology procedures.
  • Assist radiologists with biopsies, drainages, and other procedures.
  • Acquire images and communicate preliminary findings to the radiologist.
  • Record and communicate observations to the radiologist and referring physician following ACR guidelines.
  • Provide post‑care instructions and follow‑up patient evaluations.
  • Document procedures and maintain accurate medical records per company policy.
  • Travel to outpatient imaging centers as required.
  • Safeguard patient property, protect health information, and maintain professional conduct with patients and coworkers.

Required Qualifications
  • State license in Diagnostic Radiologic Technology.
  • State license Fluoroscopy permit.
  • ACLS certification.
  • Advanced academic RPA program credential through Weber State University (RPA) or approved program (RA) with national recognition and clinical preceptorship.
  • Experience in general fluoroscopy procedures, including gastrointestinal, genitourinary (adult and pediatrics), arthrogram, and myelogram.
  • Strong communication skills for interaction with doctors, patients, vendors, peers, staff, and management.
  • ARRT(R) certification preferred.

Pay Range: $130,000.00 – $150,000.00 per year
