Job description

The Henry Ford Medical Group in Detroit, Michigan is looking for an Imaging Physicist with experience in nuclear medicine for the Division of Imaging Physics in the Department of Radiology.

Responsible for providing comprehensive support for clinical nuclear medicine, including teaching radiology residents, physics residents, technologists, and allied health personnel about imaging physics and radiation safety.

Active involvement in the imaging physics community through participation in professional societies such as AAPM, RSNA, SNMMI, ACR, SIIM, and SPIE is encouraged and desired.

Group responsibilities include optimizing imaging system performance, developing and maintaining quality control and clinical imaging protocols, and educating clinical staff in imaging physics and radiation safety.

Applicants must hold a Ph.D. or M.S. degree in a physical science and be board certified or eligible for board certification via one of the following:

  • ABR in Nuclear Medical Physics
  • ABR in Diagnostic Medical Physics
  • ABSNM in Nuclear Medicine Physics and Instrumentation
