Job summary

MaineGeneral Medical Center in Augusta, Maine, is seeking a skilled Physician Assistant (PA-C) to join our Radiology team. Under physician supervision, you will provide diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventive care in a high-volume interventional radiology setting.

The role requires Maine licensure as a PA, NCCPA certification, and 1–2 years radiology or interventional experience. BLS/ACLS are required; relocation and CME support are available.

Qualifications

• Active or eligible to practice as a Physician Associate in Maine.
• Board certified by NCCPA.
• 1–2 years radiology/interventional experience preferred; strong procedural rotations considered.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Perform fluoroscopic procedures including lumbar punctures, myelograms, joint injections, and arthrograms.
• Provide independent clinical judgment and escalate to radiologist when needed.
• Support high-volume radiology workflows and meet scheduling and productivity expectations.
• Collaborate with RAM Radiologists, nurses, technologists, sonographers, and support staff.
• Educate patients and families about imaging procedures, risks, alternatives, and post-care expectations.
• Review clinical data and communicate findings to referring providers.
