Qualifications

• Current New York State RN license.
• BLS certification.
• ACLS certification (ICU/Float pool/Emergency Dept, Cardiology) within first year.
• TCAR Certification (SICU & PACU within first year).
• PALS and TNCC for Emergency Dept within first year.
• Minimum 1–2 years of relevant procedural area experience or OR experience as applicable.
• Ability to lift/carry more than 75 lbs and push/pull more than 100 lbs.

Responsibilities

• The registered nurse collects patient health data with patient and family involvement.
• Performs initial assessment based on patient presentation.
• Records relevant data in the nursing components of assessments.
• Demonstrates cultural sensitivity and adapts care to diverse patient needs.
• Plans and delivers care with the interdisciplinary team and documents progress.
• Provides education to patient and family and ensures safe environment.
• Collaborates with team to develop and adjust the plan of care.
