5 days, 8-hour shifts, Monday to Friday, from 7 AM to 3 PM. May require extended hours based on caseload.
Job Description
The Nuclear Medicine Technologist will perform a wide variety of routine and advanced imaging procedures, providing support for other imaging technologists as needed. Responsibilities include facilitating smooth and efficient patient flow, troubleshooting basic maintenance, participating in quality assurance, and resolving issues related to image processing and the archiving system. The technologist is expected to adhere to safety measures and maintain expected imaging competencies as outlined by management.
Responsibilities
- Perform all duties in accordance with the organization's core values and competencies.
- Support staff growth and development through collaboration with management, coworkers, and physicians.
- Ensure compliance with all policies, procedures, and standards of care.
- Adapt care methods to accommodate the unique needs of each patient.
- Troubleshoot and report any equipment malfunctions to the appropriate personnel.
- Ensure that all examinations are properly scanned and stored in the PACS.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology Technology or equivalent required.
- 1 year of experience in a clinical nuclear medicine setting preferred.
- Basic computer experience required.
- Nuclear Medicine Technology (N) certification by ARRT or NMTCB required.
- State Licensure required - Texas: MRT by TMBBLS required (AHA only).
