Job summary

New York Health/Imaging in Patchogue, NY is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to support radiology and interventional radiology services. You will supervise patients, perform pre-procedure reviews, and collaborate with radiologists and nurses to coordinate care.

This role requires a master’s degree in nursing or PA studies, NY licensure, and strong assessment, communication, and care coordination skills.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant Studies.
• Active New York State licensure as an NP or PA and applicable national certification.
• Strong patient assessment, communication, and care coordination skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a procedural setting.
• Availability to work Monday through Friday, 11:00 AM–7:00 PM.
• Ability to assist with patient lifting, movement, and transfers and stand for extended periods, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor patients receiving radiology contrast, addressing concerns or reactions.
• Conduct pre-procedure calls to review instructions and assess readiness.
• Follow up with patients after procedures to assess recovery and reinforce aftercare instructions.
• Assist with IV placement for imaging studies and procedures as needed.
• Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other professionals to coordinate care.
• Maintain accurate documentation of assessments and interventions.
