License: State Licensure required if in New Mexico

Certifications: ARRT certification in MRI required, BLS issued through American Heart Association required

Must-Have:

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a hospital or clinical setting preferred
• Basic computer experience required

Description:The MRI Technologist will perform a wide variety of routine and advanced imaging procedures.They will provide support for other imaging technologists as needed.The MRI Technologist will help facilitate smooth and efficient patient flow.They must demonstrate flexibility by working other shifts and/or at different locations as needed or required.The Technologist must be able to troubleshoot basic maintenance.They will participate in quality assurance and resolve issues related to image processing and the image archiving system.Expectation to participate in ongoing education, safety, and technical advances within their scope of licensure is required.The incumbent must be able to provide basic MRI screening of patients and employees.They will prepare maintenance and repairs, participate in quality assurance, and resolve issues related to MRI safety.The Technologist will adhere to and maintain the expected imaging competencies as outlined by management.Behavior and communication skills must align with the organization's mission, values, and culture.The MRI Technologist is responsible for helping to create an optimal work environment by collaborating with management, coworkers, and physicians.They will ensure compliance with all policies, procedures, and standards of care as deemed appropriate by state and federal agencies.The Technologist will perform examinations and procedures as needed to assist in patient throughput.They must ensure completed exams are scanned and stored correctly in the PACS system.They should follow PACS downtime procedures and elevate any problems to the PACS administrator if needed.The Technologist will troubleshoot and report any equipment malfunctions.Other duties may be assigned as necessary.
