Job summary

Mercy Medical Center is seeking a Lead Radiology Technologist to oversee shift operations and perform Diagnostic Radiographic Procedures following department protocols and regulations. The role interfaces with customers and supports PI/QC activities while ensuring timely image processing and PACS transmission.

The position requires ARRT-R, state-specific licensure, current BCLS, and at least one year of radiology experience. Strong customer service and computer skills are essential.

Qualifications

  • Licensed and fluoroscopy permit as required by State.
  • ARRT-R certification required.
  • Familiar with State and Federal regulations.
  • Current BCLS (AHA).
  • At least one year of experience as a Radiology Technologist preferred.
  • Proficient computer skills.

Responsibilities

  • Leads or coordinates shift operations of assigned activities, resources, and/or staff.
  • Supervises staff in the absence of manager/director.
  • Promotes teamwork and good customer service.
  • Assists in annual evaluations and staff discipline.
  • Performs Diagnostic Radiographic Procedures according to department protocols, HFAP/TJC/local regulatory/CMS, State and Federal Regulations.
  • Functions as the first line interface with customers and is successful in the accomplishment of their imaging needs.
  • Participates in PI/QC activities.
  • Responsible for processing and transmission of images to PACS.
