Job summary

University Health Truman Medical Center in Kansas City, MO, is seeking a Radiology Intern in Imaging. This part-time position provides hands-on exposure to diagnostic radiography, imaging modalities, and patient care in a busy academic medical imaging department.

You will work under the guidance of a Radiology Supervisor, perform radiographs, prepare patient rooms and supplies, and support patient services.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Senior student status in an AMA Radiologic Technology Program or advanced status in an accredited ultrasound training program.
• Strong communication skills to assist and explain procedures to patients.
• Knowledge of human development to work with patients of all ages.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds to assist with patient movement.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic radiographs and operate imaging equipment.
• Prepare patient rooms, supplies, and medications.
• Provide patient services using imaging modalities.
• Work under the guidance of a Radiology Supervisor.
