Decatur Morgan Hospital is seeking a Radiology Technician to perform CT and X-ray imaging under the direction of the Radiology Director. The role requires independent judgment, patient positioning, and operation of imaging equipment to produce high-quality images with the lowest reasonable radiation dose.

Responsibilities include PACS/EMR use, patient safety, and assisting Radiologists with procedures. Required ARRT certification within 1 year of hire and a high school diploma plus BLS during

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• ARRT certification required within 1 year of hire.
• BLS certification required during orientation period.

Responsabilités

• Under Radiologist direction, produce high quality radiographs on all patient age groups.
• Explain procedures to patients and position them appropriately for imaging.
• Select appropriate technical factors and review images for quality and positioning.
• Operate CT/X-ray equipment and utilize PACS/EMR for image handling.
• Assist Radiologist with invasive procedures as needed and maintain room readiness.
• Maintain radiation safety and proper body mechanics; follow Joint Commission standards.
