Job summary

Saint Joseph Hospital in Denver, CO is seeking an experienced Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging exams, partner with radiologists, and ensure high-quality results in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Responsibilities include maintaining ARRT certification and state license, adhering to radiation safety, educating patients, and assisting students and colleagues. The role offers 40 hours per week, benefits eligibility, and shift differentials for evenings, nights, and weekends.

Qualifications

• ARRT certification is required.
• Radiologic technologist license in state of practice.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers.
• May be required to complete Medical Assistant (MA) Competency Checklist and perform the MA function in a clinic or InstaCare setting.

Responsibilities

• Maintain ARRT/ modality competency in clinical and technical functions.
• Ensure proper patient identification, order verification, and exam preparation.
• Perform exams per department protocol and review images for quality and accuracy.
• Adhere to radiation safety guidelines and maintain a safe environment.
• Complete studies within acceptable time limits without compromising care or quality.
• Assist and instruct students and other Radiology Techs in exam protocols, procedures, positioning, and equipment.
• Provide patient education, ensure comfort, and address concerns.
• Practice infection control and sterile techniques.
• Understand and operate equipment and information systems to ensure quality images.
• Keep accurate records of patient information, procedures, and adverse reactions.
• Follow protocols for medical necessity, coding, charging, consents, QC programs, and reporting equipment failures.
