About the Facility

Alan B. Miller Medical Center is a new state‑of‑the‑art neighborhood hospital, part of UHS’s growing regional network. It will feature 150 private patient rooms, a medical office building, and a helistop, with a total of 365,000 square feet of hospital and medical office space in the initial phase. Comprehensive medical services—including Emergency Care, Orthopedics and Surgical Services, Oncology, Cardiovascular, and Neurosurgical services—will be offered along with outpatient services in medical office buildings.

Responsibilities

Radiology/Imaging Tech Per Diem – Under the direction of the designated leader within the Imaging Department, the radiologic technologist provides general diagnostic imaging services. The role requires demonstrating radiation protection and safety for patients, staff, and self, maintaining equipment, exam rooms, and work areas in a safe and neat condition, and performing examinations in a professional, courteous, and efficient manner to promote the facility’s services.

Qualifications

Education Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Diploma from a certified school of radiologic technology.

Experience:

• Minimum two (2) years’ experience as a registered radiology technologist required; acute care experience preferred.

Skills:

• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, regulatory or accreditation requirements, and to effectively present information.
• Ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions provided in written, oral, or diagram form.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

License / Certification:

• Active State of Florida Radiologic Technologist license.
• Active American Registry of Radiology Technologists (ARRT) license required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association required.
