Job summary

SSM Health St. Mary's Hospital - St. Louis seeks a PRN Imaging Assistant to support the radiology team. You will help transport, position and prepare patients, assist with pre-screening and patient education, and help manage data entry and image transfer to PACS.

Weekend availability is required, with responsibilities to maintain image quality, complete documentation, and keep the department clean and efficient while upholding safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required or 10 years of work experience.
• Medical office experience preferred; radiology students welcome.
• State of Work Location: Illinois, Missouri, Oklahoma, Wisconsin and BLS HCP certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist technologists and support the imaging department.
• Transport, prepare and position patients to acquire images.
• Pre-screen patients, start IVs, and educate related to the examination.
• Enter and monitor patient data and transfer images to PACS.
• Ensure high-quality images and proper documentation; report equipment issues.
• Maintain a clean and orderly department and assist when needed.
