Job summary
Liberty Hospital in Liberty, MO is seeking a Radiology Equipment Specialist to test, repair, calibrate, and assist in installation of radiology and related medical equipment. The role involves maintaining equipment, coordinating with vendors, training staff, keeping maintenance records, and supporting on-call coverage.
Requires an Associate degree in Medical Electronics or related field, 2+ years experience with radiology equipment (or 5+ years without certification), and knowledge of regulatory
Qualifications
- Associates degree in medical electronics or related field.
- 2+ years experience with radiology equipment if certified; or 5+ years without certification.
- Preferred: experience with diagnostic x-ray, nuclear medicine, therapeutic x-ray, ultrasound or radiation therapy equipment.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and instrumentation.
Responsibilities
- Test, repair, calibrate radiology equipment to manufacturer specifications.
- Inspect malfunctioning equipment and determine cause of malfunction.
- Coordinate installation and preventive maintenance with vendors.
- Maintain maintenance records and approved equipment updates.
- Provide on-call coverage after normal hours as assigned.
- Train radiology staff on proper use and safety.
