Job summary

Samaritan Hospital in Missouri is seeking a Radiologic Technologist responsible for obtaining diagnostic radiographs while ensuring patient comfort and safety. You will operate x-ray and CT equipment, position patients, and document histories for radiologic exams.

Qualifications

• Associates or bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Science as educational prerequisite.
• Six (6) months previous experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Transports patients to and from the Radiology Department.
• Assist all patients on and off the x-ray/CT tables.
• Positions patients for specific diagnostic exam.
• Regulates and controls exposure of radiation to obtain a diagnostic radiograph.
• Assist Radiologist during all fluoroscopic and special procedures.
• Documents proper patient history for all radiologic exams.
• Operates mobile x-ray equipment, CT and x-ray machines.
• Performs x-rays and CT scans on emergency callbacks, weekends, and holidays on a rotational scheduled basis.
• Competent care will be given to patients of all ages, including pediatrics & elderly.
