Job summary

Samaritan Hospital is seeking a part-time Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic radiographs while prioritizing patient safety and quality care. You’ll transport patients, position them for exams, and assist Radiologists during fluoroscopic and CT procedures.

Requirements include an Associate or Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Science, CPR certification, ARRT registration eligibility, and six months of experience preferred. Weekend/holiday rotation is included.

Qualifications

• CPR certification is required.
• Proficiency with basic computer systems.
• Ability to position patients for diagnostic imaging with minimal radiation exposure.
• Knowledge of radiation safety practices to minimize exposure.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients to and from the Radiology Department.
• Assist patients on and off x-ray/CT tables and position for exams.
• Regulate and control radiation exposure to obtain diagnostic images.
• Assist Radiologist during fluoroscopic and CT procedures.
• Document patient history for radiologic exams.
• Operate mobile x-ray equipment, CT and x-ray machines.
• Performs x-rays and CTs on callbacks, weekends, and holidays on a rotation."
• Care for patients of all ages, including pediatrics and elderly.

Position summary

General purpose

Patient care; quality assurance.

Education

• Associates or bachelor's degree in Radiologic Science

Experience

• Six (6) months previous experience preferred but not required.

Licenses/Certificate

• Registration/registration eligible by the American Registry of Radiological Technologist.

Position responsibilities

• Transports patients to and from the Radiology Department.
• Assist all patients on and off the x-ray/CT tables.
• Positions patients for specific diagnostic exam.
• Regulates and controls exposure of radiation to obtain a diagnostic radiograph.
• Assist Radiologist during all fluoroscopic and special procedures.
• Documents proper patient history for all radiologic exams.
• Operates mobile x-ray equipment, CT and x-ray machines.
• Performs x-rays and CT scans on emergency callbacks, weekends, and holidays on a rotational scheduled basis.
• Competent care will be given to patients of all ages, including pediatrics & elderly.

Essential skills and experience
