Job summary

Origin Travel Nurses is seeking an experienced CT technologist for a 13-week travel assignment in the United States. The role focuses on performing computed tomography procedures using established scan protocols, with the ability to adjust settings as needed to meet clinical goals.

Responsibilities include contrast administration, venipuncture, power injector use, patient safety, and accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• ARRT Certification and NMTC preferred.
• Active BLS certification.
• State licensure in PA/NY/MD.
• At least 2 years of imaging experience.

Responsibilities

• Utilize advanced imaging technologies for data documentation and processing according to established protocols.
• Demonstrate proficiency in venipuncture and the use of power injectors in alignment with manufacturer and departmental guidelines.
• Administer various types of contrast media as directed by physician orders, assessing for potential risk factors before administration.
• Communicate effectively with patients and colleagues, providing clear instructions and support to reduce patient anxiety.
• Ensure proper patient identification and adherence to universal protocols during procedures.
• Document patient history accurately in the electronic record and ensure exams are correctly coded and charged.
• Collaborate with other departments to enhance the efficiency of patient care delivery.

The position involves independently performing imaging procedures, specifically computed tomography (CT) procedures using established scan protocols and adjusting them as required. Successful candidates will demonstrate expertise in managing complex imaging equipment to acquire, analyze, and document image data while ensuring all procedures align with departmental protocols.
