Job summary

The Radiology - CT Tech assignment in Beloit, Wisconsin is a 13-week contract. Shifts run Monday through Thursday, with 10 hours per shift, providing a consistent 40-hour work week under Radiology leadership.

The role requires WI-DSPS radiographer license and ARRT registrations in Radiography and CT, plus AHA BLS/CPR. The CT technologist will prepare patients, operate imaging equipment, administer contrast as needed, and support ongoing clinical projects and education for students and partners.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited radiography program; education verification required.
  • Maintains active status in the modalities in which they practice.
  • Assists the department coordinator by providing clinical leadership, completing projects, and performing advanced level clinical duties.
  • Is competent in all exams performed within the assigned modalities.
  • Corroborates patient clinical history with procedure, ensuring information is documented and available for use by the radiologist.
  • Prepares the patient for procedures, providing instructions to obtain desired results, gain cooperation, and minimize anxiety.
  • Selects and operates imaging equipment, image capture devices, and accessories to successfully perform procedures.
  • Positions patients to best demonstrate anatomic area of interest, respecting patient ability and comfort; immobilizes patients as necessary.
  • Practices aseptic technique as necessary.
  • Prepares and administers contrast media as appropriate to procedures performed; starts and maintains intravenous access.
  • Initiates basic life support action when necessary.
  • Provides patient education.
  • Provides input for supply and equipment decisions, maintains control of inventory and supplies for assigned area.
  • Provides practical instruction for students and partners.
  • Observes universal protocol, standard precautions, and appropriate patient identifiers.
