Job summary

HCA Healthcare in Houston, TX, is seeking a Radiology Assistant II PRN to assist technologists and support patient care across neonatal to geriatric populations. You will transport patients, guide attire for radiographic procedures, and help maintain infection control while protecting patient privacy.

Required are BCLS certification and ability to transfer patients; one year of patient care experience is preferred. The role offers comprehensive benefits within a large health system.

Qualifications

• One year of previous patient care experience preferred.
• BCLS certification through the American Heart Association required.
• Ability to transfer and transport patients required.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients to and from the Diagnostic Imaging Department by ambulation, wheelchair, or stretcher as directed and dependent upon patient condition.
• Instruct and assist patients concerning proper gown or apparel for radiographic procedures as needed.
• Maintain IV tubing, Foley catheter, or other tubing in a safe position during transport.
• Maintain confidentiality of all pertinent patient care information to protect patient rights.
• Inform nursing unit and supervisor of any problems or observations encountered during transportation.
• Ensure proper infection control techniques are routinely carried out.
