Job summary

Physicians Regional Healthcare System in Naples, FL, seeks a Radiology Assistant to support daily imaging operations, assist technologists, prepare patients for procedures, maintain equipment and supplies, and perform basic administrative duties to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality patient care.

This PRN role emphasizes patient comfort and safety, infection control, and effective communication among radiology staff and other departments.

Qualifications

1–2 years of experience in a clinical or imaging setting preferred.
BCLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
CNA / CMA or similar certifications preferred.
Knowledge of infection prevention and safety procedures.
Familiarity with electronic health records and clinical computer systems.

Responsibilities

Prepares patients for imaging procedures, verifying ID and prepping for exams.
Assists with room turnover, cleaning, and exam preparation.
Supports contrast procedures under supervision, preparing supplies and ensuring safety.
Maintains safety awareness including ALARA and MRI precautions.
Keeps stock of supplies and arranges orders to support daily operations.
Performs basic administrative tasks: chart prep, orders, and phone communications.
Assists patient transport, transfers, and discharge as directed by staff.
Engages in remote support workflows where applicable.
