AdventHealth is hiring aRadiology Imaging Assistant to support patients before and during imaging procedures. You will position patients, assist technologists, and ensure rooms are clean and ready for each exam.

The ideal candidate holds a High School diploma, has 1+ year hospital radiology exposure, and holds BLS certification. Strong communication and customer service are essential in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
1+ year hospital radiology experience preferred.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Able to read, write and speak conversational English.

Responsibilities

Assist patients with preparation for imaging exams and position patients as directed.
Greet, escort, and transport patients to and from imaging areas, ensuring safety and comfort.
Maintain cleanliness and restock imaging rooms; monitor supplies and equipment.
Answer phones, relay messages, and assist with department communication to support workflow.

Job Description

Assists patients with preparation for imaging exams, including changing into appropriate attire and verifying identification under supervision. Supports technologists during procedures by positioning patients, moving equipment, or preparing exam rooms as directed. Cleans and restocks imaging rooms between patients, ensuring cleanliness, infection control compliance, and readiness for next exam. Maintains adequate inventory of linens, supplies, and equipment, alerting appropriate staff when items are low. Answers phones, relays messages, and assists with communication between technologists, nursing, and other departments to support efficient workflow. Greets, escorts, and transports patients to and from imaging areas, ensuring safety, comfort, and timely movement throughout the department. Other duties as assigned.
