Qualifications

• Licensed in the state of practice in Medical Radiation Technology.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Performs static and dynamic fluoroscopic procedures.
• Evaluates images for quality and recommends additional images as needed.
• Reports observations of imaging to Radiologist.
• Provides post-care instructions to patient and documents the procedure.
• Participates in quality improvement activities within the radiology practice.
• Performs general radiographic procedures as needed.

This job performs a variety of imaging procedures and is responsible for patient safety protocols. Functions as the first line interface with customers in the successful accomplishment of their imaging needs. Participates in continuous quality improvement activities.

Job Duties

• Performs static and dynamic fluoroscopic procedures.
• Evaluates images for quality and recommends additional images as needed.
• Reports observations of imaging to Radiologist.
• Provides post-care instructions to patient and documents the procedure in the appropriate record as well as writes patient discharge summary for review and co-signature by the radiologist.
• Participates in quality improvement activities within the radiology practice.
• Performs general radiographic procedures as needed.
• Adapts behavior to the specific patient population, including but not limited to respect for privacy, method of introduction to the patient, adapting explanation of services or procedures to be performed, requesting permissions and communication style.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
