The Schwarzman Animal Medical Center (AMC) is seeking a board‑certified or board‑eligible veterinary radiologist to join our expanding Department of Diagnostic Imaging. Qualifications

• Board-certified or board‑eligible veterinarian in the American College of Veterinary Radiology or European College of Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging. • Must have or be able to obtain a license to practice veterinary medicine in New York. • Strong interest and clinical competence in small animal radiology, diagnostic ultrasound, CT and MRI. • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work as part of a team in a collegial teaching environment.

Clinical and Service Responsibilities

Duties include performing and interpreting diagnostic imaging studies for the teaching hospital and referral veterinarians. The position is currently a 4‑day per week schedule with one work‑from‑home day. The applicant is expected to work some weekends. Service responsibilities may also include institutional committee work, continuing education, and contribution to professional organizations.

Teaching and Research

Clinical teaching includes instructing and supervising interns and residents in internal medicine, critical care, and surgery. Participation in research is encouraged and many opportunities are available within AMC and through the biomedical community of New York City. Teaching duties focus on resident training and preparation for the ACVR board exam. We collaborate often with the Bronx Zoo!
