Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company LLC through WECTEC Staffing Services is seeking a Decontamination Technician to perform housekeeping and decontamination in Radiological Control Areas at the plant. You will operate test equipment such as RP meters and high-pressure washers, and may need to certify to all Decon tasks per Radiation Protection.

The role reports to the site coordinator at the assigned plant. A high school diploma, drug test, and security background check are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of High School Diploma or GED.
• Pass a drug test.
• Pass a security background.

Responsibilities

• Climb ladders and work at multiple heights.
• Meet all applicable requirements to maintain unescorted access.
• Complete training/certification to operate different equipment including high pressure sprayers, vacuums, small pendant cranes, hoist.
• Understand oral and written communications, technical requirements, procedures and directives associated with working at a nuclear plant.
• May require a respirator physical and training.
• Work in adverse conditions such as high temperatures, confined spaces.
