Job summary

Inova Loudoun Hospital in Virginia seeks a Radiologic Technologist (Rad Tech) for a full-time Day shift on weekends (Sat, Sun, Mon, 7:00am–7:30pm). The role includes performing radiographic procedures, supporting students, and upholding safety and quality standards.

Sign-on bonus and relocation eligible are noted. Requirements include graduation from an accredited radiology program (associate degree preferred), BLS, ARRT within 12 months, and two years of radiology training or hospital radiology

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited radiology program; associate degree preferred.
• BLS certification on hire; ARRT certification within 12 months.
• Two years of classroom and clinical radiology training; hospital experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical radiology services according to standards.
• Serve as a resource to radiography students and staff.
• Maintain patient safety and radiation protection policies.
• Maintain equipment and exam rooms in a clean, safe condition.
• Assist in teaching radiography principles and perform other duties as assigned.

• The Radiologic Technologist provides clinical services according to radiology practice standards and acts as a resource to radiography students and other technologists to ensure optimal department functions.
• Administers sound patient care practice according to hospital and department policies/procedures to ensure the safety of patients.
• Demonstrates radiation protection/safety for patients, staff, and self as outlined in department protocols and regulatory guidelines.
• Maintains equipment, exam rooms, and work areas in a neat and safe condition. Completes ancillary tasks to ensure efficient and consistent departmental operations while demonstrating the initiative for self-development to ensure the proficiency of staff with new technological changes.
• Assists in teaching radiography students sound radiography principles.
• May perform additional duties as assigned.
• Education:Graduate of an accredited radiology school or program. Associate’s degree preferred but not required.
• Certification:

  • Basic Life Support from the American Heart Association upon start.

  • American Registered Radiologic Technologist within 12 Months.

• Experience:Two years of combined classroom and clinical training in radiology. Recent experience in a hospital/healthcare environment as a Radiologic Technologist or student.
