Job summary

CareNow - West Columbia is hiring a Radiologic Technologist (PT) to perform radiologic and in-house lab duties, while providing excellent patient care in a busy urgent care setting. You will document records, support front desk tasks, and maintain equipment in accordance with policy and state law.

Registration and certifications are required, with 30-day timelines for key trainings. The role supports a patient-centered care team within the HCA Healthcare network and offers incentive eligibility

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Services.
• 1+ year of clinical experience in a patient care setting (preferred).
• Registered Radiologic Technologist, ARRT Certification required.
• State licensure may be required.
• BLS certification within 30 days of start.
• Federal Breath Alcohol Screening Certification within 30 days of start.
• Federal Drug Screening Certification within 30 days of start.
• Within 30 days of employment or promotion, must obtain and maintain state license (if required by the state) for Office Laboratory Assistant.

Responsibilities

• Perform all radiological and lab duties per provider orders and state law.
• Document patient records according to clinical practice and policies.
• Greet patients and assist with front desk tasks as needed.
• Maintain and calibrate x-ray and lab equipment.
• Maintain logs of in-house lab work and x-ray activity.
• Support clinic operations to ensure smooth patient flow and high satisfaction.

GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES:

Performs allrequiredRadiological and Lab dutiesin accordance withlicense and performs front desk duties as assigned. Demonstrates excellence in customer service and patient satisfaction.

As a Radiology Tech, you will:

• Work with all clinic staff to ensure efforts are coordinated and that patients receivehigh-qualitycare and services. Provides care to patientsin a timely manner.
• Perform all x-ray views according to provider’s orders, clinical practice under statelawand in compliance with company policy and procedures. Document the patient record according toestablishedclinicalpracticeand company policies and procedures. Perform drug screens,urinalysisand other in-house lab tests accurately.Processspecimens for reference labs.
• Help support front desk duties to include greeting patients, checking patients in/out, End of Daycloseout procedures, patient interactions, lobbychecksand records release.
• Maintain,calibrateand perform controls on lab/x-ray equipment daily. Inspects andreportsartifacts from the x-ray screen. Operate equipment according to policy and manufacturer guidelines. Complete semi-annual X-Ray inspections.
• Maintain records and logs on activities including in-house lab work, drug screens, x-rays, and lab work sent out to other labs. Perform equipment audits as scheduled. Ensure the occupational client’s work form isfollowedand occupational procedures are adhered to.
• Work closely with the Center Manager, Medical Staff, Front DeskCoordinatorand all clinic staff tomaintainsmooth operations and high customer satisfaction.
• Follow all company policiespertaining toinfection control and hand hygiene.
• May berequiredto work alternate shifts and may berequiredto float to other clinic locations.

You Should Have:

• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Servicesrequired.
